When I’m not taking care of patients, educating others in my work, or brainstorming ideas for my next book, I enjoy traveling, trying new and exciting cuisine, and spending time with family and friends. You might also find me reading a really good book.
I love to travel. It reminds me of my favorite holiday, the most wonderful time of year, CHRISTMAS!! Like Christmas, traveling allows you to be in a happy, joyful mood. It’s a peaceful place that increases positive thoughts and inspiration. It’s relaxing and I get to explore my creative side. My mind is open to run free. I definitely leave all worries behind when I travel.

When asked her inspiration for writing, Nurses Are Superheroes Too, C.P. Mitchell said:
“Becoming a children’s book author was the last thing I expected. During the pandemic, I got the calling from God on a Saturday morning. I wrote this book to inspire kids to think of other rewarding careers like nursing that can be just as fulfilling as that of professional athletes, actors, musicians, and supermodels. While all professions are important, it was important that I highlight how awesome it is to be a nurse.
Nurses Are Superheroes Too explores types of nurses and their roles; not limited to ER and ICU nurses that we see on TV. There are many types of nurses, and they are all heroes.
I was careful to show diversity throughout the book. I want children of all nationalities and backgrounds to see themselves, and little boys to know a career in nursing isn’t just for girls.”
